Ints Mednieks<\/strong><br><em>Time frame:<\/em> from April 1, 2021 to August 31, 2022<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are two overall objectives of the Dynland-2 project:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol><li>to augment our self-learning land cover classification technology Dynland with capabilities to perform object based context aware classification<\/li><li>evaluate the prototype software by doing a feasibility study to extract tree species information at microstand level from Sentinel 1 &amp; Sentinel 2 in Latvia.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>We will accomplish this by:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>doing a study into current state of the art in object segmentation methods<\/li><li>doing a study into the state of the art in contextual information fusion<\/li><li>implementing geomatics workflows and build new software prototypes modules.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These will augment our existing land cover classification technology and software Dynland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a result of this project, we will deliver a feasibility study, technical reports and web-accessible software prototype for unsupervised object based context aware land cover classification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We will perform an internal and external evaluation of the technology with some of the currently interested parties in forestry management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.edi.lv\/en\/projects\/object-based-context-aware-self-learning-network-for-land-cover-classification-dynland-2\/\" target=\"_blank\">More info here &gt;&gt;\ufeff<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><a href=\"http:\/\/remsens.edi.lv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/esa.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/remsens.edi.lv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/esa.jpg\" alt=\"esa\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Object based context aware self-learning network for land cover classification Prime Contractor:&nbsp;Institute of Electronics and Computer ScienceProject number:&nbsp;4000133163\/2020\/NL\/CBiScientific manager:&nbsp;Dr.sc.comp.
